Earrings “Sigismund Augustus’ Promise”

The jewellery collection "SECRET LOVE" by Julia Janus and "RIBAS Jewellery" is inspired by the legend of eternal royal love, created as a symbol of Sigismund Augustus' love for Barbara.

While Sigismund Augustus left Vilnius and started a half year journey to Krakow, he was sending love letters to Barbara Radziwill and a wonderful piece of jewellery with precious stones was enclosed with every letter that became an inspiration of this collection.

The earrings “Sigismund Augustus’ promise” – jewellery pieces, whispering about the purity of true love. The earrings are made of silver & gold, decorated with Barbara's favourite gem – a white pearl – and decorated with a subtle hint of Augustus' love - a black diamond. These earrings symbolize a pure and overall overcoming love of Sigismund Augustus and Barbara.

Jewellery Care

Please remember to remove your jewellery before:

• sleeping (exceptions: bracelets and stud earrings/piercings), as jewellery also needs rest;
• showering, visiting the sauna, swimming pool, sea, lake, etc., as salts and chlorine in water can damage the jewellery or its components;
• active activities (sports, household chores, gardening, etc.), as some gemstones are sensitive to impact and pressure, and precious metals may deform.

Jewellery Storage

• Avoid direct contact with perfumes, body lotions, hair dyes and sprays, or other chemicals, as precious metals may react to chemical cosmetic substances.
• Protect jewellery from moisture, direct sunlight, extreme heat or cold, as some gemstones and precious metals may change colour.
• Store jewellery separately from one another, in a box or pouch, to prevent scratching and tangling.

Enamel

• Enamel may chip or scratch if the jewellery is subjected to stronger impacts, prolonged contact with water, aggressive chemicals, or other adverse factors. Due to its fragility, enamel is sensitive to mechanical damage, and improper conditions over time may weaken its surface and alter its appearance.

Jewellery Cleaning

• Emeralds are very sensitive: they must be protected from strong chemicals and ultrasonic baths; heating may change their colour, and they are especially sensitive to impacts. We invite you to clean jewellery with emeralds only at our jeweller’s workshop at Stiklių g. 7, Vilnius.
• We invite you to visit your nearest RIBAS Jewellery store every 3–6 months for free jewellery cleaning. We also recommend periodically checking the clasps of gold jewellery with a jeweller, especially earrings, to ensure they are secure and not lost. Our jeweller is located at Stiklių g. 7, Vilnius.

Warranty

• The repair warranty does not apply if our jeweller determines that the jewellery was mechanically damaged or improperly cared for. The warranty also does not cover lost jewellery parts, as this is considered the customer’s responsibility. The warranty generally applies to manufacturing defects or flaws arising from the production process, but not to parts lost or damaged due to user actions. Nevertheless, we always look for and offer ways to repair your jewellery.

RIBAS Jewelery products are covered by a warranty of up to 5 years, inclusive from the date of product purchase. This jewelry is the result of long and persistent work, combining craftsmanship, professionalism and experience.
